Most westerners think Laos first HSR happened because China wants to dominate Laos. WOW! I didn't realize it is better to transport goods by train than sea. Of course it is better for passengers. Bravo to the dogged determination to cut the tunnel! I love that the young people of both Laos & China are finding rewarding, fulfilling direction in their lives.
