7月1日电 (记者王连香)记者从中国国家铁路集团有限公司(以下简称国铁集团)获悉，为加快研发更高速度、更加安全、更加环保、更加节能、更加智能的复兴号动车组新产品，国铁集团组织在福厦高铁福清至泉州区段开展了新技术部件在更高运行速度条件下的性能验证试验。

6月28日在湄洲湾跨海大桥，试验列车以单列时速453公里、相对交会时速891公里运行，6月29日在海尾隧道，试验列车以单列时速420公里、相对交会时速840公里运行，对新技术部件进行了有效的性能验证，各项指标表现良好，标志着CR450动车组研制取得阶段性成果，为“CR450科技创新工程”的顺利实施打下了坚实基础。

As someone stuck in an EU country where trains running at 200kph still seems like a far off distant dream, running trains at 450kph seems like an amazing wonder taken straight out of science fiction. If China is planning train operations at this speed to become common place on their train network it would be completely wild!

If train travel over 800km/hour , then it must be under the tunnel so safety reason, no wind , no birds or animal . Even plane crash into a group of bird in the sky, too fast.

All this hype that China rise threatening US hegemony is pure rubbish. China is only interested in better itself and improve on whatever can be improved. Thus China's rise got nothing to do with the US and it is Chinese people's own self determination.

Having 2/3 of the world's installations China will not stand still and will seek improvement as a matter of routine. The 600kph maglev train has been tried but there is still some room to expand China's traditional HSR. If the CR450 become viable China will bring it out to serve the citizens.
